Aditi Mohsin, Avik Deb perform at Pran-er Khela

Noted Rabindra Sangeet exponents Aditi Mohsin and Avik Deb rendered popular Tagore numbers at the Chhayanaut auditorium in the capital as a part of the regular session of audience-admired musical show titled Pran-er Khela on Tuesday evening organised by Bengal Foundation.
Aditi rendered songs like Aji bijon ghore, Sukhohin nishidin poradhin, Je rate mor duaguli, Hridoyer ekul okul, etc while Avik Deb rendered the songs Mukhokhani koro molinbidhur, Kandale tumi mor-ey, among other numbers in the musical evening.
Born in Dhaka, Aditi Mohsin received initial training in music from Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts in Dhaka. In 1992, she won the ICCR Scholarship and went to pursue her music training at the Visva Bharati University in Shantiniketan. There, Adity trained under noted exponents of Rabindra Sangeet like Kanika Bandopadhyay, Nilima Sen, Gora Sarbadhikari, Swastika Mukherkee, Mohan Singh, Arupratan Banerjee and others.
Aditi subsequently completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music from the Visva Bharati University with First Class Honours. Aditi Mohsin thereafter worked as a senior teacher with Chhayanaut till the year 2000.
Bengal Foundation has released four solo albums of Aditi Mohsin in Bangladesh, and HMV Sa Re Ga Ma has released three of her solo musical albums.
Avik Deb trained in music from Rashbehari Chakravarty and Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya. He received the Prothom Maan award in 2009 in a competition organized by the Bangladesh Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad.
