A female adibasi leader and also a UP member was injured as she was attacked and raped allegedly by her opponents at Zinarpur under Parbatipur union of Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district on Monday noon.
She filed a case in this connection with Gomostapur thana accusing 18 named and 14/15 unnamed persons on Monday midnight.
In the statement of the case the victim alleged that she along with her labourers was planting the seedlings of Transplanted Aman (T-Aman) at Zinarpur at around 12 noon. At this time a gang of 30/35 miscreants demanded Tk. 3 lakh as extortion from her and as she refused it, they made attack on them with sticks and sharp weapons injuring her seriously.
