UNB, Dhaka :
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has offered support for the development of Bangladesh’s various sectors, including power, transport, rural development, education, agriculture and sanitation.
Visiting ADB Vice President Wencai Zhang came up with the offer when he met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganabhaban.
After the meeting, Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed reporters.
The ADB Vice President said the Bank also wants to support inter-connecting sub-regional power grid system under Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal (BBIN) inter-regional Economic Cooperation.
It also wants to extend support for developing agro-processing industries in Bangladesh and development of its infrastructure.
