A charge sheet was issued yesterday against actress Kazi Nawshaba Ahmed in a case filed against her under the Information and Communication Technology Act.
Police Inspector Shawkot Ali Sarker of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime, who is also the Investigation Officer of the case submitted the charge sheet to the court while the court fixed May 28 for hearing in the case.

Police Inspector Shawkot Ali Sarker of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime, who is also the Investigation Officer of the case submitted the charge sheet to the court while the court fixed May 28 for hearing in the case.
The charge sheet says that accused Nawshaba made offence while trying to tarnish the image of the
country and hurt the sentiment of the people deliberately through delivering false and defamatory information under the ICT Act 2006.
Police arrested Nawshaba from Uttara area of the city on August 4, last year. Later, she was put on 4 and 2 days remand. On completion of the remand she was sent to the jail. However, later, on August 21, she secured bail from the respective court.
