Khaleda Aktar Kolpona is an actress, story-writer and director. After a long time, she has made two dramas – ‘Premik Bikewala’ and ‘Call Girl.’ Stories if these two dramas were also written by herself. Besides giving direction and writing stories, Khaleda Aktar Kolpona also acted in these dramas. Sheuli Shila, Amir Parvez, Banasree, among others, will
act in these dramas.
Khaleda Aktar Kolpona first got the National Film Award for acting in late Razzak directed movie ‘Jiner Badshah.’ She left teaching profession and started acting through entering into film industry by Notun Mukher Sondhane, BFDC in 1984. She first acted in Mizanur Rahman’s ‘Honuman er Patal Bijoy’ but debuted on the silver screen was with Motin Rahman’s movie ‘Radha Krishno.’ Then she acted in movies ‘Sohel Rana,’ ‘Phoolshojja,’ ‘Shesh Aghat,’ ‘Mayer Kanna,’ ‘Tin Konnya,’ ‘Rocky,’ ‘Dhaka-86,’ ‘Jiner Badshah,’ ‘Achena,’ ‘Swapner Thikana,’ ‘Ananda Ashru,’ ‘Keyamat Theke Keyamat,’ and many more.
Now this noted actress is passing times writing dramas and telefilms. According to Kolpona, she wrote stories of many drama serials, single episode dramas and telefilms. But unfortunately her name didn’t use as the scriptwriter of these works. She requested directors and producers of these dramas, serials and telefilms to mention her name in their works. “During childhood, I had reading habit of story books. Once I started writing. After attachment with acting, my first written drama did not air. Then my written story based drama ‘Apnar Cheye Apon,’ directed by Monwar Khokon, was aired on ATN Bangla. Before that, Monwar Khokon made my written story based drama titled ‘Ferari Sukh’ where popular singer Robi Chowdhury played the lead role. In fact, while acting in movies and dramas, I noticed a lot of mistakes that prompted me to think about writing and later started to write. When I was young, I had a dream to become a writer,” said Kolpona.
“I remember late Atiqul Haque Chowdhury once called me to Ekushey Television and told me that my dialogue writing skill is amazing. Hearing such words from him, I felt like I received an award. I still have a lot of dramas and telefilms, which I wrote earlier. I want to give those stories to good producers and directors. I want my stories to reach the audience,” the actress also said.
Kolpona acted in 500 movies. In TV commercial, she was first seen to perform as a model in Lalbag er Hansh Marka Narkel Tel under Afzal Hossain’s direction.
