Actor Salman Shah died by suicide: PBI

Staff Reporter: A final report of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has concluded that popular actor Salman Shah died by suicide in 1996.
Huge popular actor was suddenly died on the year, leaving the entire country in shock.
Sudden death of the beloved actor raised many questions.
The incident has launched a 24-year long investigation that ended with the PBI report on Monday.
“Marital conflict over his work with a female co-actor is being blamed among other reasons,” Banaj Kumar Majumder, the PBI Chief, said it in a press briefing.
The silver screen actor died on September 6, 1996 at the age of 25.
Following the death, his father Kamaruddin Chowdhury had filed an unnatural death case.
Later it turned into a murder case after one Rezvi in a confessional statement said he had killed Salman with the help of Salman’s wife, mother-in-law and eight other people.
Rezvi, however, later disowned his confession given before the police.
Detective Branch, Criminal Investigation Department of police and a judicial probe body investigated the case separately and submitted their reports stating that Salman’s death was a case of unnatural death.
Salman’s mother Neela Chowdhury, objected to both reports.
Then on December 7, 2016, a Dhaka court asked PBI to carry out further investigation into the case, which the Bureau concluded finally.
