Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Shipping Ministry Major(Retd) Rafiqul Islam said, legal actions will be taken against the absconding contractor engaged for Karnaphuli dredging work .
He disclosed this while visiting the site of Karnaphuli River dredging area yesterday morning.
He said, dissatisfaction not only the means for leaving the remaining dredging work but proper legal actions will be taken against him. Contracting firm- Malaysian Maritime & Dredging Corporation now black listed with the Chittagong Port Authority for their disappearance from the site.
