Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Friday said legal action has been taken against those Rohingyas who attempted to obtain Bangladeshi passports using fake identities.
The Home Minister came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after a get-together event of SSC candidates-2000 at KIB auditorium in the capital.
Asked how Rohingyas getting passports, the minister said they have already started identifying the Rohingyas trying to obtain passports using fake information.
Even the process of issuing passports against identified Rohingya people has already been stopped, Asaduzzaman said.
Legal action is being taken against those Rohingyas who are trying to get passport using fake names and fake birth registration certificates, he said adding some of them have already been arrested.
