Acting British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Kanbar Hossein-Bor expressed Britain’s willingness to introduce academic exchange programme in higher education between Bangladeshi and the UK.
He came up with the UK’s eagerness on Tuesday as he had a meeting with Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury at his secretariat office in the city, said an official press release.
Bor said different academic exchange programmes like branches of different British universities are kept functioning in India, Malaysia and other countries.
If such exchange cooperation between Bangladesh and Britain is implemented, a large number of foreign students will be encouraged to receive education from Bangladeshi universities and it will enhance the image of higher education in Bangladesh.
