Acme and Renegades Cricket Club registered wins in their opening match of the 6th Foreign Local Cricket League Raman Lamba & Daulat-uz-Zaman Trophy at Residential Model School & College Ground on Friday.
In the day’s first match, Acme recorded a six-wicket win over Tec Republic.
Chasing Tec Republic’s 123 in 18 overs, Acme romped home in 15.2 overs making 124 for the loss of four wickets.
Mukel of Acme grabbed three wickets at the cost of 14 runs. Mukel was adjudged the Man of the Match.
Foyez of Tec Republic hit 22 from 15 balls and his teammate Prittom knocked 39 from 29 balls.
Later, Foyez of Tec Republic got two wickets conceding 17 runs.
In the day’s second match, Renegades Cricket Club posted a narrow one-wicket victory over Hard Willow Cricketers at the same venue.
Batting first Hard Willow Cricketers scored 115 in 19.2 overs.
In reply, Renegades Cricket Club reached the winning spot making 119 for the loss of nine wickets when they had just four balls to spare.
Sajol of Renegades Cricket Club remained unbeaten with 15 and claimed three wickets instead of 22 runs. Sajol was adjudged the Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
Mamud of Hard Willow Cricketers captured four wickets at the cost of 17 runs.
