Some miscreants threw acid on a house wife at Balatary village under Naodanga union of border adjoining Phulbari upazila in Kurigram district at 9 pm on Tuesday due to family feud.
Local sources said Rashida Begum, 38 wife of Emdadul Haque Bulu in the village went to her lichi trees to drive away bat at 9 pm.
At that time some miscreants who were waiting, threw acid on the house wife and escaped. Hearing her hue and cry the inmates as well as locals rescued and admitted her to Phulbari upazila Health Complex. Residential Medical Officer Dr Sakil Ahmed told that some parts of her body including left arm burnt. She was sent to burnt unit of Rangpur Medical College Hospital for better treatment.Officer-in-charge of Phulbari police station Fuad Ruhani said that a preparation was going on from her family to file a complain.
