Tk 1,285.96cr project to boost farmers’ income

UNB, Dhaka :The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) on Tuesday approved the ‘Smaller water resources development (2nd phase)’ project involving an estimated cost of Tk 1,285.96 crore, aiming to boost agricultural production and thus increase the income of farmers through enhancing non-farm activities.The approval came from the weekly Ecnec meeting held at the NEC conference room here with Ecnec Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
