A housewife sustained burn injuries in an acid attack over kids feud at Kazihati village in Bahubal Upazila of the Habiganj district on Thursday night.
The injured housewife was identified as Nil Banu, 35, wife of Manik Miah in Kazihati village. She is now undergoing treatment at Habiganj Sadar Hospital.
Police and eye witnesses said, Aman Ullah, 13, son of Manik Miah and Milon Miah,14, son of Mortuj Ali of same village beat each other for their feud. When their parents listened the matter , conflict ensured at 7 pm.
Manik Miah, husband of victim said, for this reason on Thursday night a gang allegedly led by one Mortuj Ali, 45, were entire our house target to me to threw acid. But they didn’t find me in my room. While they were returning from house then seen my wife and thrown acid at around 8pm.
Police said, hearing a hue and cry, locals rushed to the spot and rescued her. However, the criminals managed to flee.
