UNB, Chittagong :A court here on Thursday placed Shahjahan Miah, a suspected killer of Police Super Babul Akhter’s wife Mahmuda Khanam Mitu on a three-day fresh remand.Metropolitan Magistrate Harunur-or-Rashid passed the order after police produced him before the court seeking a 10-day remand for further interrogation, said Additional Deputy Commissioner (Prosecution) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Nirmalanda Bikash Chakraborty.Earlier on May 17, the court placed three accused-Saidul Shikdar alias Saku, 35, brother of prime accused of Mitu killing case Musa; Shahjahan, a member of the killing mission; and Chittagong Swechchhaasebak League leader Ehtesamuluk Haque Bhola, arms supplier of the mission, on a three-day remand each.On June 5, unidentified miscreants gunned down Mahmuda Khanam Mitu at the city’s GEC intersection while she went there to drop her son, Mahir Akhter, 7, for a bus to Chittagong Cantonment Public School and College.
