An accused in a case filed over a clash fled from Comilla Medical College Hospital in the city on Friday afternoon while under police custody.
Police arrested Kamrul Hasan, a resident of Shaktala village in Sadar Dakkhin upazila, on Thursday night.
He was taken to the emergency unit of the hospital under police protection on Friday noon as he received injuries to his legs during the arrest.
Kamrul somehow managed to escape from the hospital around 2:30pm, said Inspector
(Investigation) of Comilla Sadar Dakkhin Police Station M Aiyub.
Meanwhile, police launched a drive to arrest the accused again, he said.
