Accused Md Billal was on Tuesday placed on a three-day remand in a case filed for kidnapping and violating five-year-old Sumaiya.
Metropolitan Magistrate Rayhanul Islam of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka granted the remand after hearing on the plea of the Investigation Officer.
Earlier, he produced Billal in the court with a seven-day remand plea.
On April 27, Sumaiya, kidnapped from Dhaka’s Kamrangirchar 24 days ago, was rescued from city’s Jurain area.
