An absconding death-sentenced accused was arrested on Tuesday noon by the members of elite force RAB-6 Khulna, says a press release signed by Major Md. Shamim Sarkar, Special Company Commander of Rapid Action Battallion (RAB-6) Khulna.
The arestee was identified as Moharaj Howladar, son of Ali Hossain Howladar, hailing from village Chhoto Shinga in Mothbaria upazila of Pirojpur district.
According to the Press release, acting on a secret information, a special team of Rab-6, Khulna raided at Sadhur Sadher Battala Kali Mondir (Temple) area at Piljong village in Fakirhat upazila of Bagerhat district at around 12.30 pm on Tuesday ( On May 9, 2019) and arrested the absconding accused Moharaj Howladar who was awarded death sentence by a court.
As per the Press release it is learnt that Moharaj is a wanted accused of a case No.- 18, filed under section 302 of Bangladesh Penal Code with Mothbaria police station, Date-25/09/2005. He was awarded death sentence by a court and he was absconding since long, added the Press release.
