Local government representatives can also play an important role in this regard, they said addressing a views-exchange meeting on ‘ensuring access to employment for persons with disabilities, at hall room of Rajshahi City Corporation on Tuesday.
Centre for Services and Information on Disability (CSID), supported by Leonard Cheshire Disability and Accenture, organized the programme.
Panel mayor-1 of Rajshahi City Corporation Mohammad Anwarul Amin attended as the chef guest while chief executive of the city corporation Azhar Ali as special guest at the function, which was chaired by Programme Manager of CSID Iftekhar Ahmed.
Chairman of steering committee on disability of Rajshahi City Corporation Kamruzzaman, Training Coordinator of CSID Akter Hossain, female councilors of the city corporation, persons with disabilities and others were present.
