ACC to quiz BNP leader Anee Mar 13

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will interrogate BNP leader Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anee on March 13 in connection with the allegation of acquiring wealth illegally.
The Commission recently sent a notice to Anee asking him to be present in person at the ACC head office to face grilling on the stipulated date, ACC sources said.
On February 2 last, the anti-graft body launched investigation into the graft allegations against BNP leader Anee. Earlier, in January last, the ACC also launched probes into the allegations of unusual wealth accumulation by seven politicians.
The ACC inquiry officers are conducting probes into the graft allegation against former Health Minister Dr AFM Ruhal Haque, former State Minister for Housing and Public Works Abdul Mannan Khan, former State Minister for Water Resources M Mahbubur Rahman, Enamul Haque, MP (Rajshahi-4), Abdur Rahman Bodi, MP, (Ukhia-Teknaf), Aslamul Haque, MP, (Dhaka-14) and Abdul Jabbar, former MP, (Satkhira-2).
