The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) will interrogate eight officials of Prime Bank in connection with an
alleged embezzlement of Tk four crore on November 1 next.
The Commission on Tuesday served a notice to the Prime Bank’s head office asking them to be present at the ACC head office on November 1 next to face questioning, ACC sources said.
The bank officials who will quizzed are deputy managing director Habibur Rahman, former deputy managing director ASM Anisul Kabir, vice president M Mojahid Kabir, executive vice president Moshiur Rahman, assistant vice president Gias Uddin Ahmed, senior executive
officer Mohammad Fazlur Rahman, executive officer Lutfun Nahar and senior officer M Abdus Sabur.
On March 9, 2015, senior executive officer Mohammad Fazlur Rahman filed a case with city’s Motijheel Police Station for allegedly swindling out of nearly Tk four crore from the bank preparing fake documents by a quarter. Later, the case was transferred to the national anti-graft body asking to conduct an investigation into it.
