The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will enquire whether Azizul Haque, Director General of Water Development Board (WDB), has received kickback from a construction company by giving it chance to purchase substandard dredging machineries, ignoring tender’s conditions.
ACC in its routine meeting recently assigned its Deputy Director Anwarul Haque to look into the matter.
Sources say, Azizul Haque was paid crores of taka by the company as bribe.
Another allegation has been raised against him that he had given a special facility to another construction company when it was dredging in Gorai River.
