The Anti-corruption Commission has approved a team for investigating Ramana Thana Officer in Charge (OC) Monirul Islam’s wealth.
The team will investigate his misuse of power, irregularities and corruption for getting illegal wealth.
ACC’s Director of Public Relation department SM Asaduzzaman confirmed the matter to media on Sunday. He said ACC has appointed Assistant Director Niamul Ahasan Gazi as a investigative officer to find the Ramna Model Thana’s OC Monirul Islam’s illegal wealth which he earned by misuse his power, follow the illegal process and corruption.
Before that a national daily has published a news title ‘ Ramana Model Thana’s OC’S Eight Storied building in Dhaka’. Later Supreme Court (SC) lawyer Barrister Sayed Sayedul Haque Sumon has submitted a writ petition to High Court (HC) seeking investigation on the issue.
