The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will interrogate an Executive Director-1 of Bangladesh Bank on June 12 for his involvement allegedly in corruption and accumulating wealth illegally.
The ACC on Monday served a notice to the
central bank asking its Executive Director-1 SM Moniruzzaman to be present at the Commission’s Head Office at 10 am on the day, ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told The New Nation.
Md Jahangir Alam, Deputy Director of ACC signed the notice and said if Moniruzzaman fails to be present at the Commission on June 12 to face questioning, legal action will be taken against him as per rules of the Anti- Corruption Commission.
On Sunday, the ACC launched investigation against two executive directors of the central bank, including Moniruzzaman, for their involvement in corruption and accumulating wealth illegally.
