The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will interrogate Arifur Rahman, the assistant personal secretary to Health Minister, for his alleged involvement in corruption.
The graft watchdog also sent a summon notice to Munshiganj Jubo League leader Zakir Hossain asking him to be present at the ACC headquarters on January 20. ACC’s Deputy Director Md Samsul Alam sent the letter.
According to the ACC, Arifur Rahman has been summoned for his alleged involvement in embezzling money and tender manipulation while Zakir Hossain summoned for running illegal casino business.The ACC said, APS Arifur embezzled more money by the name of training abroad of the Health Directorate officials.
It also said that Hossain is also known to be one of the cohorts of the top government-listed contractor GK Shamim.
