ACC seeks wealth statements of 12 DGHS employees, family members

The Anti-Corruption Commission has sought wealth statements from 12 employees of the health sector and their family members on allegations of accumulating wealth beyond their known sources of income.
The ACC issued a notice in this regard on September 15 containing a list of 20 people. The list also includes a driver of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Abdul Malek, who was detained recently by the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on charges of carrying an illegal firearm and posessing fake currency. Abdul Malek’s wife, Nargis Begum is also in the list.

Mojibul Haque Munshi; Tofail Ahmed Bhuiyan, Data Entry Operator, Department of Health; Khadija Akter, husband- Tofail Ahmed Bhuiyan; Md. Obaidur Rahman, Administrative Officer, 250-bed General Hospital, Gopalganj; Bilkich Rahman, husband-Md. Obaidur Rahman; Moses. Rehena Akter, Staff Nurse, Faridpur Medical College; Husband-Md. Obaidur Rahman; Md. Imdadul Haque, Accountant, Rangpur Medical College Hospital. Umme Ruman Fancy, husband-Md. Imdadul Haque; Md. Mahmuduzzaman, Administrative Officer (Current Responsibilities), National Heart Institute and Hospital; Mrs Sabina Yasmin, husband-Md. Mahmuduzzaman.
Md. Nazim Uddin, Store Officer, Shaheed Taj Uddin Medical College Hospital, Gazipur; Firoza Begum, husband-Md. Nazim Uddin; Kamrul Hasan, Office Assistant, Hospitals and Clinics, Department of Health; Dr. Umme Habiba, husband- Kamrul Hasan; Md. Saiful Islam, Stenographer-cum-Computer Operator, Sheikh Sayera Khatun Medical College, Gopalganj; Mir Raihan Ali, former Assistant Head (Non-Medical) is currently Assistant Chief Statistic Officer, Director (Health) Office, Barisal and Md. Anwar Hossain, Accountant, Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
The health sector employees have been asked to submit their wealth statements within 21 working days of receiving the notice. Action will be taken under the ACC Act 2004 if the statements are not provided accordingly or include false information, read the notification.
