Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has sought the details about the bank statements of three MPs and 47 others.
The anti-graft body has written to the Bangladesh Bank about 50 people, including three lawmakers from the ruling Awami League.
ACC Director Syed Iqbal Hossain sent the letters to the central bank’s Financial Intelligence Unit in phases.
The lawmakers are: Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shawon, Whip Shamsul Haque Chowdhury and Pankaj Debnath.
GK Shamim, Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan, Selim Prodhan, Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat, Khaled Mahmood Bhuiyan, and Shafiqul Islam Firoz are, among others, in the list.
The graft watchdog also sought the bank statements of Omar Faruk Chowdhury, who had been relieved of his post of the chairman of AL youth front Jubo League recently.
