The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched its second-phase probe against political leaders, mostly ruling party men, for reportedly amassing illegal wealth.
The anti-graft body has decided to launch probes against three leaders of Awami League and Jatiya Party in the second phase, sources at the ACC said.
The Commission at its regular meeting on Thursday decided in principle to conduct probes into
graft allegations against Awami League organising secretaries Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapon, MP and BM Mozammel Haque, MP, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
On Wednesday, the ACC, however, decided to carry out probe into the allegation of illegal wealth accumulation by Jatiya Party secretary general ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader.
