ACC official visits CEB for enquiry against corruptions

An official of Anti- corruption Commission , Chittagong Chapter visited the Chittagong Education Board (CEB) aimed alleged corruptions and irregularities of four officials of the board on Sunday afternoon.
The allegations against former CEB Chairman Md. Shahjahan, Secretary Dr. Pijush Dutta, Controller of Examination Md. Mahbub Hasan and Asstt. Controller Abdul Aziz will be investigated ,sources said.
Sources said Asstt. Director of ACC (Information & Investigation) Sirajul Hoque came over CEB Chairman office on Sunday at about 2 pm and asked a number of files so alleged from the Chairman .
 The incumbent chairman of the board Shaheda Islam confirmed the matter of inquiry to media while contacted. She said , ACC official handed over a list of files of these four officials which will be submitted to him by Thursday next.
The meeting was told that the trend of criminal offenses declined to some extents recently but drug trafficking increased alarmingly. To maintain the peaceful law and order during the ongoing religious festival Durga Puja, law enforcing agencies, Upazila chairman, UNOs , Officers- in- charges of thanas, Puja Parishad and Law and Order Review Committee will work consensually.
Among others in the meeting, Additional Police super Md. Habibur Rahman, Addl. District Magistrate Mamunur Rashid, Civil Surgeon Dr. Azizur Rahman siddiqui, District FF Commander Md. Shahabuddin, Chittagong Chamber Director Syed Mahfuzul Hoque Shah, district PP AKM Sirajul Islam Chowdhury spoke on the occasion, a sources said.
