ACC launches probe against Kader Khan

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched a probe against Abdul Kader Khan, a former MP of Jatiya Party and suspected mastermind of MP Liton killing, for allegedly accumulating wealth illegally.
The Commission at its regular meeting decided to
initiate a probe against him after receiving a specific graft allegation, ACC spokesman Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
ACC deputy director Benjir Ahmed has been appointed as inquiry officer to carry out the probe into alleged corruption of Kader. Earlier, the ACC received an allegation that Kader Khan illegally amassed a huge amount of wealth using his power and influence and through extortion.
On February 21 last, police arrested Abdul Kader Khan, a former Gaibandha-1 (Sundarganj) MP from Jatiya Party, over the killing of ruling party lawmaker Manjurul Islam Liton.
