Staff Reporter :
The High Court (HC) on Thursday expressed discontent over the activities of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The court said, “The ACC is busy with the primary school teachers whereas thousands of crores of taka of the state-owned banks are being looted. This is not the duty of the ACC to look after whether a primary teacher has gone to school or not.”
The HC bench of Justice Sheikh Hassan Arif and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil passed the observation while delivering a judgement on some pleas challenging the government “Policy-2012 to stop teachers from doing coaching business in educational institutions”.
The court also said, “The ACC is busy with the primary school teachers. There is a need to be vocal against big corruption before small corruption. Only then it will be possible to eradicate corruption.”
