Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) conducted two separate drives against the corruption in the gas and power sectors based on specific complaints.
Two ACC teams raided in Titas Gas and Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC) offices on January 23 and 28 to identify the persons involved in illegal gas and electricity connection
aiming to stop these crimes. The drive was carried out in connection with specific allegations of the customers at the ACC Complaint Center.
In the operation, illegal gas connections were found in eight floors of a building in Azimpur. ACC is now trying to identify the Titas officials responsible.
On the other hand, another team of the ACC conducted raids to monitor the allegations of electricity connection issue, issue of demand notes and electricity theft in Dhaka Power Distribution Company (DPDC) in Banasree office.
