Staff Reporter :
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday grilled Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation’s (BRTC) Deputy General Manager (DGM) Khan Kamal Uddin on charge of amassing huge wealth illegally.
In the investigation report conducted by the BRTC, the DGM has also been accused of getting undue promotion. The report was then sent to the Commission for their
perusal and necessary action.
ACC Deputy Director Hamidul Hasan questioned him in the Commission head office. On September 25, the ACC summoned him.
Khan Kamal Uddin joined the BRTC as an officer in 1987 without facing written and viva-voce tests, the report says.
He managed promotion by exercising influence. He owned a five-storey building in Barisal and has several plots and flats in the capital.
