Padma Bridge: ACC finds graft evidence in Canada

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Commissioner (Investi-gation) Shahabuddin Chuppu said that ACC has found evidence on Padma Bridge graft case in Canada.
What the Commission found is comprehensible and presentable before the court, he said this to the media at his office on Tuesday.
The evidence which is with the ACC will be enough to prepare a charge sheet and submit it before the court, he said.
Responding to a question he said ACC collected the evidence from Canada through its own sources. But he did not elaborate.
Two separate cases were filed in Bangladesh and Canada on corruption of the much talked about Padma Bridge.
The Canadian police arrested Mohammad Ismail, Ramesh Shaha and Caveen Wales in this regard. Names of 10 persons were found in the diary of Ramesh, who worked for SNC-Lavalin Construction Company get the bridge’s consultancy work in exchange of kickback.
