Chairman of Anti- Corruption Commission (ACC) Iqbal Mahmud has underscored movement against corruption, saying a united effort is needed to eliminate corruption from the country.
“The future of our country is bright. The only problem for our future generation is corruption. ACC is arresting many on the charge of corruption. We will not exempt even a single corrupt person,” he said. The ACC Chairman came up with the observation while talking to newsmen after attending an anti-corruption rally and discussion on the premises of Savar University College yesterday morning.
Organised by Dhaka District Administration, the rally was attended by local lawmaker Dr Enamur Rahman, ACC director general Dr Shamsul Arefin and other dignitaries. Dhaka Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salah Uddin presided over the function.
Later, the ACC Chairman distributed prizes among the winners of essay writing competition. He also administered anti-corruption oath to the people attending the function.
