Chairman of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) M Badiuzzaman on Sunday sought cooperation from all,
including politicians, to eliminate the all-pervasive corruption from the country.
He made the call at a human chain programme arranged by the ACC in front of Jatiya Press Club, marking the Corruption Prevention Week 2015.
Referring to the week’s theme, “Let’s take a vow and hate the corrupt’, the ACC chairman said: “If we all abhor the corrupt people, they’ll get discouraged in involving in corruption…they’ll change their mindset.”
Asked about the alleged irregularities of noble peace laureate Prof Mohammad Yunus, he said if the ACC gets any allegation against him (Yunus), the commission will look into that, too.
Earlier in the morning, ACC officials, led by its chairman
Badiuzzaman, brought out a procession from the ACC head office, which terminated at the same venue after parading Bijoynagar, Paltan and Jatiya Press Club areas.
ACC commissioner Dr M Nasir Uddin Ahmed and its senior officials joined the procession.
