UNB, Dhaka :Chairman of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) M Badiuzzaman on Sunday said the registration of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) should not be cancelled.”I don’t want to make any comment about what Parliament has said,” he told reporters at the inaugural session of the 11th anniversary of the Commission in front of the ACC head office in the capital.Though TIB has some objectionable activities, itsregistration should not be cancelled as the anti-graft body works globally, the ACC chief said.On Wednesday last, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry recommended cancellation of TIB’s registration as it did not apologise within the deadline for making derogatory remarks on the Jatiya Sangsad. Earlier on November 9, ruling Awami League lawmaker Suranjit Sengupta in Parliament gave a three-day ultimatum to TIB to apologise for its derogatory remark on Parliament.
