The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday arrested six people, including a Union Parishad chairman, from Pabna in a graft case over misappropriating rice meant for government VGF programme .
An ACC team arrested them from Pabna town, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB.
The arrestees are Nagdemra Union Parishad chairman Harun Ur Rashid, UP members
Rafiqul Islam Dudu, Md Nannu Pramanik, Md Abdul Momin,Md Miton Sarkar and Md Abdul Matin.
On September 11, 2016, a case was filed against them with Sathia Police Station for allegedly misappropriating a total of 129 sacks rice from the Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) progamme of the government.
