As its crackdown on corrupt elements is going on, the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday arrested 14 more graft suspects, including bank officials and government officials from different parts of the country in separate cases.
An ACC team, led by deputy director Zahirul Huda, arrested former administrative officer of Jessore Housing Estate from Karbala Road of the town in a graft case filed by the Commission, ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told UNB. ACC deputy director Jahangir Alam arrested former officer of Phulbaria branch (Mymensingh) of Ruplali Bank Morshed Alam, chairman of Rambadrapur Union Parishad Md Rokunuzzaman, upzila project implementation officer Mohammd Shafiqul Islam and retied assistant engineer of Power Development Board Maidul Islam in separate cases for allegedly misappropriating public money.
