Academics and researchers observed that there is a need of more research on the working fields of planning, architecture and civil engineering for ensuring quality in infrastructural development.
They mentioned that quality assurance in the field of infrastructure development is very much important towards substantial and sustainable reduction of financial loss and casualty.
As the working pressure on the fields is gradually mounting with rising of population there is no alternative to generate competent workforce to meet up the demands.
They came up with the observation while addressing the closing session of an international conference held recently at the conference hall of Department of Civil Engineering in Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET).
Faculty of Civil Engineering in RUET hosted the conference titled “Planning, Architecture and Civil Engineering (ICPACE 2019) aims at creating a unique opportunity for the academics, researchers, professionals and students from home and abroad to present and share their latest research findings and experiences.
RUET Vice-Chancellor Prof Rafiqul Islam Sheikh addressed the session as the chief guest with Faculty Dean of Civil Engineering Prof Abdul Alim in the chair.
Prof Irh Look Braitvelt from Netherland’s Dilpot University, Prof Mijanur Rahman from Australian University of South, Prof Habibur Rahman and Prof Mehedi Ahmed Ansary from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and Executive Director of Barind Multipurpose Development Authority Engineer Abdur Rashid also spoke.
Prof Rafiqul Islam said the conference played a pivotal role towards promoting intellectual and practical development in the field of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Urban Planning.
Educationists, professors, researchers and engineers concerned from home and abroad took part in the conference.
