Few days ago, Ekushey Padak winner noted actor, playwright and play director Abu Hayat returned to Bangladesh from USA. Then he became busy with his professional works in the country. He has already acted in noted director Chayanika Chowdhury directorial a special drama titled ‘Anandadham.’ This noted actor played a pivotal character in this drama. Mili Bashar, Rukaiya Jahan Chamak and Arosh Khan also acted in other roles in the drama. Masum Shahriar wrote story of the drama while Mala Khondokar has produced it. Amitabh Ahmed Rana and Subrata Mitra worked as assistant directors of the drama. Md S R Nahid was in camera direction.
While talking about acting in the drama, Abul Hayat said, “It is true that for making drama Chayanika Chowdhury is a ‘brand.’ She is well known to the viewers by one name. On TV screen, anybody can say it is Chayanika Chowdhury’s drama due to her specialty to give direction of the drama. In fact, she has made hundreds of dramas and reached into that position that viewers can easily identify and realise Chayanika directed works. In the meantime, if the viewers enjoy the story, they can also understand the drama is directed by her. Chayanika is very choosy in case of story selection for drama. When I went to USA I heard praiseworthy remarks about Chayanika directed dramas there. So, overall, I always enjoy acting under her directorial dramas.”
Noted actress Mili Bashar said about working in this drama, “After many days, I really enjoyed acting with Hayat in the drama. I always like Chayanika’s direction because she is always perfect in every case.”
Director Chayanika Chowdhury shared her feelings by this way, “In case of Abul Hayat, I always call him ‘Baba.’ In presence of him at drama, there is an exceptional liking by the viewers. Basically his presence makes me much satisfactory for making the drama and also gives me peace. Besides him, Mili Apa also acted in the drama. Two promising actors of present time, Rukaiya Jahan Chamak and Arosh Khan also acted in this drama. Overall, I believe ‘Anandadham’ has become a likeable drama for the viewers. I hope viewers will enjoy the drama. I give thanks to Mili Khondokar and playwright Masum Shahriar.”
Meanwhile, Abul Hayat also said that right now he is not making any new drama. He last made a drama casting Iresh Zaker and Zakia Bari Mamo for Channel i.
