The 37th death anniversary of Abul Fazal Chowdhury, a prominent lawyer of Habiganj and father of two freedom fighters, will be observed today (September 11).
On this day in 1978, Abul Fazal Chowdhury, also a former Ward Commissioner of Habiganj Municipality, died leaving behind five sons, four daughters, grand children, a host of relatives, friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.
His sons include Additional Secretary (Retd) and freedom fighter Advocate Chowdhury Sanawar Ali, former President of Jalalabad Association and freedom fighter Dr CM Delwar Rana and drama Artist Jhuna Chowdhury.
Abul Fazal Chowdhury was also a legal adviser to Duncan Brothers & James Finlay Tea Companies. The family members have requested all to pray for the salvation of the departed soul.
