Abu Sadek Md. Sohel elected as the Audit Committee Chairman of Premier Leasing & Finance Limited. The decision was taken in a board of directors meeting held at the company’s head office in the city recently, said a press release.
Abu Sadek Md. Sohel was born in 1952 in a respectable family in Netrakona. He is a career banker having banking experience of more than 40 years.
He started his banking career in 1977 as a Senior Officer of Sonali Bank Limited. After working 24 years in different branches and head office, he was elevated to the rank of General Manager in 2001. He made Deputy Managing Director of Agrani Bank Limited in 2005 and a few months later joined Social Islami Bank Limited. He worked 8 years in SIBL as Deputy Managing Director, Additional Managing Director and CEO of SIBL Securities Limited. He became Managing Director of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited in October, 2013 and completed the full tenure successfully in 2016. He attended different training / seminars all over the world including USA, Germany, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, India and Nepal.
Abu Sadek Md. Sohel is associated with Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (IBB) for about two decades. At present, he is the Part-time Faculty of MBA Program of Uttara University, Dhaka.
