Air Vice-Marshal Abu Esrar has been appointed as the new Chief of Air Staff for a three-year tenure from June 12 next, an ISPR release said here on Friday.
He will remain Air Chief for three years from June 12, 2015 afternoon to June 12, 2018 afternoon, a Defence Ministry notification published here said.
Air Vice-Marshal Esrar will replace the outgoing Air Chief Air Marshal Muhammad Enamul Bari, who will proceed on retirement from June 12, the notification said.
Another notification of Defence Ministry said Air Vice-Marshal Abu Esrar will be promoted to Air Marshal rank with effect from June 12, 2015 afternoon.
