The dwellers of Fatehabad area under CDA in Hathazari upazila of Chittagong formed human chain, procession, rallies demanding abrogation of the proposed residential project there and to approve the building plans of the locals .
The action programs was arranged in fornt of Fatehabad College premises on Saturday afternoon. The action programs held under the banner of Dwelling House Saving Committee(Bastuvita Rakkha committee).
Among others, President of Rakkha committee Durgapada Nath, member secretry Sirajul Islam, dwellers gazi Yousuf, Abdul Sukkur, Md. Ali, Gazi sharif, Gazi Neza, Safiul Azam, Fazlul Kader etec spoke on the occasion.
Sources said Chittagong development authority(CDA) had planned for building a Housing Project over 4700 acres of land at Fatehabd under Hathazari upazila earlier but the project work yet to be sighted for the last one decade.
With the lame excuse of CDA housing project, selling of land and approval of new building there remained stopped since long causing the sufferings to the local residents, sources said.
