About 70 shops in a bazaar beside Launchghat at Char Bhoirobhi in Haimchar Upazila were gutted by a devastating fire on Thursday morning. Goods and commodities worth about Tk 20 crores were burnt to ashes. Fire fighters of Haimchar and Roypur extinguished the inferno after a long effort of two hours.
