Md. Abnus Jahan has joined as Deputy Managing Director in the largest state owned Sonali Bank Limited on 25, May 2018, said a press release.
Prior to the new assignment, he also served as Deputy Managing Director in another state owned Agrani Bank Limited from 30.04.18 to 24.05.2018 and administered different divisions of the bank.
Before serving as Deputy Managing Director of Agrani Bank Limited, he served as General Manager of Rupali Bank Limited.
He carries with him over 34 years of experience in banking arena and worked in diversified roles in different divisions and branches of the Rupali Bank Limited. He is also a Diplomaed Associate of the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (DAIBB).
Md. Abnus Jahan obtained B. S.c and M. S.c in Physics from Jahangir Nagar University and later joined Rupali Bank Limited in February 1986 as an officer.
During the service tenure, he visited many countries including Thailand and Austria, and attended different training programmes, seminars, workshops on banking issues.
