Advocate Abdur Rokib Montu has began campaign in Sylhet seeking vote for Awami League symbol of boat at Moglabazar on Friday.
Abdur Rokib, General Secretary at Bangladesh Athletic Federation, Assistant Attorney General at Bangladesh Supreme Court, also member of Bangladesh Olympic Association, Former member of Jubo League central committee, wants to contest in the parliamentary polls, likely in December, with AL nomination from Sylhet- 3 constituency ( Dakshin Surma-Fenchugonj-Balagonj areas).
He has attended several rallies and brought out processions in the area accompanied by local AL leaders and activities.
Abdur Rokib wants to hold flag of Awami League and expand development message among the people. Regarding the campaign, Abdur Rokib said there is no alternative to boat to continue development activities under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
‘To reach the massage of development by Sheikh Hasina, I stepped into campaign. Decision regarding nomination will be taken by the party chief Sheikh Hasina.
