Former national hockey player, coach and umpire Abdur Razzak (Shona Miah) died on Sunday at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He was 61.
He was the father of National Hockey Player Russell Mahmud Jimmy.
His Namaz-e-Janaza was held at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium. Later, he was buried at Azimpur Graveyard.
Bangladesh Sports Press Association, Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association, Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited and different organizations condoled at his death in separate messages and also expressed consolation to the bereaved family.
