Former vice-president and life time member of Dhaka Wanderers Club Abdur Rahim Badshah Mia died (Inna lillahee ……rajeun) of old age ailment at his Rokonpur residence in the city on last Thursday.
He was 80.
Badshah Mia was the father of Abdul Mukit Rubel, who is the Member of Bangladesh Sports Journalists Community (BSJC) and Photo Journalist of fortnightly Kriralok.
His Namaj-e-Janaza was held at the Rokonpur Mosque after Juma Prayer on Friday. After his Namaj-e-Janaza, he was buried at the Azimpur Graveyard.
He left behind his wife, one son, two daughters, relatives and a host of well wishers to mourn his death.
President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Kazi Md Salahuddin and the other officials of BFF expressed deepest shock and conveyed consolation to the bereaved family.
