Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to bring Abdullahpur to Kazla road under Closed Circuit Camera Television (CCTV) coverage aimed at decreasing nagging traffic snarl and crimes in the capital.
The MoU was signed around on Tuesday at DMP Headquarters here in presence of its Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia for next three years. Deputy Police Commissioner (headquarters and admin) of DMP Sudip Kumar Chakrobarti and Fiber@Home Limited Managing Director Mainul Haque Siddique signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. Abdullahpur-Kazla-Mirpur, Gabtali-Hanif Flyover and entire part of Kuril Biswa Road will be brought under the CCTV coverage. Abdullahpur to Kazla, Jatrabari road will be brought under the coverage in the first phase while the rest of sides will be under the coverage later.
A total of 33 points have been selected in Abdullahpur-Kazla road where 88 CCTVs will be installed at 38 locations.
Fiber@Home Limited has been entrusted with installment of the CCTVs, their servicing and maintenance for the next three years in line with the MoU.
